Paul has been editing since his dad threatened he’d have to join the family business if he didn’t start making some money. Back then his ideal world was a dark room with big monitors, tons of footage and no people. So, after a few years as a film editor and a few more as an online editor, he opened his own place in 1993. Along the way he discovered that it wasn’t so bad having people in the room working with him.
Amanda joined Paul’s Place with a background in 2D and 3D design project management. As a 2003 graduate of the Art Institute of Boston she began her exploration into visual image making as a documentary and fine art photographer. At Paul’s Place Amanda manages client services and overall project flow, and in her free time attempts to master the French language, her other passion. When not at work she can be found in the Boston area spending time with her Boston terrier.
Dan displayed a passion for TV production from a very young age, when at just three weeks old, he edited a video montage of his own birth. Since then, Dan has gained experience in all aspects of production through various jobs and internships while graduating from the U of Rochester, and a stint in the AV wing of the Canadian Mounties. Dan also habla espanol, and in his spare time, has been known to play “Wild Thing” on the guitars in Paul’s edit suite.
